This entry-level, paid position is an ideal fit for recent graduates with outdoor recreation or hospitality degrees, as well as recent graduates who are seeking a role in the service industry. As a hospitality team member of the Retreat at Balcones Springs, you will be primarily responsible for facilitating activities such as zip-line and rock wall, facilitating meal and bar service, preparing meeting spaces, and creating a positive and memorable guest experience. Our goal is to improve our employees’ skills in the hospitality and recreation industries to help them further their career plans.
In the summer months, The Retreat switches gears and operates exclusively as a sports and adventure camp for kids ages 7-17. Not only does our hospitality staff gain experience working with adult groups of all kinds, but they also have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of our young campers.
The Retreat is at times a 24/7 business, so we prefer that our full-time hospitality staff live on property. We have several renovated spaces ready for move-in – some private and some shared. Utilities are provided, along with most meals, and access to un-facilitated activities during free time, such as our gym and sauna, miles of picturesque hiking and running trails, sports fields, private beach, and more! Feel free to visit our website to have a look: texasretreat.com. The hospitality staff position can be physically demanding, but in return you receive valuable experience, all the perks of living in a Texas paradise.
Please send your resume and a brief cover letter and tell us why you would like to start your career at The Retreat at Balcones Springs to Christine Baskin at christine@texasretreat.com. We require two professional and one personal reference. Due to the large volume of resumes, we may only contact the candidates that match our needs.
