Health Professions

The Health Professions Community is intended to connect students, alums, and professionals whose interests relate to the various health professions. Students in this community are encouraged to develop knowledge from the humanities, the natural science, and the social sciences in order to understand the self and others. This community hopes to aid students develop the essential capacities expected of all health professionals: professional and personal accountability, the ability to utilize patient care technology, and the ability to collaborate with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

This community also hopes to provide support to students hoping to enter into a career in the fields of medicine and health by providing an opportunity to pursue experiential learning opportunities and access to mentors in their field. This community provides a forum for students to find these opportunities and to receive expert insight from alumni and others who may already be established in the field of health professions.
