Audience Development Intern

Full-Time, Internships, Part-Time Expires April 25, 2021

Young Hot & Modern is seeking an innovative audience development intern to support the audience development team by researching and producing content for social media and email marketing. The ideal candidate has experience in photo sourcing and copywriting. The Audience Development Intern will work alongside seasoned professionals and receive weekly feedback. The program is remote and requires a commitment of 8 to 14 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in writing, staging, and deploying original social media content and staging editorial newsletters
  • Track engagement to identify successful campaigns and areas for improvement
  • Assist with the organization and maintenance of the social content calendar
  • Actively participate in conversations with our community on social media
  • Develop campaign strategies, ability to pitch and implement them from start to finish
  • Assist with photo research, sourcing, and editing
  • Attend weekly one-on-one meetings with editors
  • Work on special projects, as needed
  • Assist editors with other tasks, as needed

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be enrolled in college and working toward a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field and must be able to receive college credits for the internship
  • Working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social networks
  • Ability to explain complex ideas simply and concisely
  • Photoshop/Canva.com experience preferred
  • Excellent writing, research, and organizational skills
  • Access to photography equipment, photo studio not required but a plus
  • Keen attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and transition them from idea to execution
