Tutor Doctor Kerrville – Devine is hiring for Tutors in Texas! This area includes Kerrville, Comfort, Boerne, Hondo, Castroville, Lytle, Natalia, Devine and surrounding areas! Flexible hours, great rates and a supporting team. Join today!

Tutor Doctor provides in-home (or potentially virtual), one-to-one personalized tutoring to help students achieve their academic potential. We are actively seeking undergraduates, graduates, teachers, business professionals and subject matter experts to join our team and help students reach their goals!

Positions with this Tutor Doctor location are contractor positions.

· Safe: A Tutor Doctor representative always conducts an in-home consultation to ensure the safety of the home.

· Local: our location serves students in Kerrville, Comfort, Boerne, Hondo, Castroville, Lytle, Natalia, Devine and some other surrounding zip codes.

Requirements

As a Tutor, You Can Be Relied Upon To:

· Travel to students’ homes (or an agreed upon location, such as a library) OR conduct sessions virtually. In-person vs. virtual tutoring is based on family preference.

· Schedule consistent weekly tutoring appointments.

· Provide individualized instruction lessons in a comprehensive manner, varying the method to fit the student’s learning style to facilitate learning

· Assess and record students’ progress and provide feedback

· Are able to pass a criminal background check.

· Proactively communicate with clients and represent Tutor Doctor in a professional manner.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

· Be passionate about helping students, with an ability to connect to the student and create a relationship of mutual trust.

· Know how to organize a tutoring session and make learning an easy and meaningful process.

Our goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in education and be their ally in the learning and development process.

Qualifications

As a Tutor Doctor Tutor, You are Someone Who:

· Has a high school diploma.

· Has achieved or is currently enrolled in post-secondary education – Teaching credentials/experience a plus.

· Has access to a vehicle, and able to travel to committed tutoring appointments consistently.

· Has experience as a Tutor/Mentor/Coach/Teacher

· Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Is well-organized and committed

· Is creative and energetic

· Is able to teach any or several of the following subjects, especially high school students:

Elementary/Middle School

· Math

· English/Language Arts

· Science

· Social Studies

· Organizational Support & Test-Taking Skills

High School

· Math (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry, Statistics)

· Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy)

· English

· Foreign Language (Spanish, French, German, etc.)

· Organizational Support & Test-Taking Skills

Note:

Tutors will be independent contractors, and therefore have the flexibility to accept or decline tutor student matches our office deem as ideal for student success.

Tutors would be responsible for their own transportation, schedule, and any costs that they incur.

Tutoring is a dynamic job that requires one to play many roles to help students realize their goals.

For the various positions we are seeking to contract, we are looking for individuals who are interested in taking on more than one student in a one-to-one capacity, is motivated to see a contract that could last up to a year all the way through and possesses the skills to work in various disciplines and grade levels.
