The Leasing Agent, under the direction of the Property Manager, is a position that leases apartments/units and assists with resident and employee relations. This position performs routine clerical work involving taking of initial applications for housing, rent collection, income/employment verification, and supporting any and all tenant maintenance needs. Seeking a professional, customer-focused individual who can support all existing tenants while also assisting all potential new tenants and discussing property further.
Pay Rate: $14-15/hr DEO
Shift: Monday-Friday 8-5, Saturdays as needed
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Addresses tenant ad potential tenant needs and inquiries
Assist guests with showing units available for lease, and reviewing all application steps and requirements
Review and process lease applications and create lease contracts
Issues lease violations and monitors curb appeal for residents at the assigned developments as directed by the Property Manager
Tours apartments with clients; discuss all benefits of the apartment community and each apartment shown
Type weekly, monthly and/or special reports as designated by Assistant Community Manager or Community Manager.
Receives deposit and rent money, record appropriately.
Welcomes new residents. Assist as necessary to ensure a smooth move-in.
Processes resident transfers.
Communicates clearly to the maintenance staff regarding duties and responsibilities.
Consults with Community/Assistant Manager if a policy exception is needed
2+ years experience within multi-family leasing
Proficiency within MS Office
Must have superior customer service skills
