Full-Time, Internships, Part-Time Expires April 30, 2021

Spend the summer at a unique and authentic Yoga Retreat in the woods! In the beautiful rustic setting of rural northern Michigan, you will get a spiritual immersion into the ancient science of Yoga – which for thousands of years has meant Self-Realization and communion with Divine Consciousness – alongside a professional experience of event planning, community service, and festival coordination.

The Yoga Festival Coordinator Intern plays an integral part in assisting YogaFest Coordinator Monika Ford in producing YogaFest at Song of the Morning – our wonderful annual Yoga Festival. This is a unique and special opportunity for a hearty soul with an open heart, an open mind, a desire for a lived experience of the practical aspects of Yoga – including immersion in a spiritual community – and an opportunity to learn and hone skills in event planning, marketing, creativity, leadership, flexibility, teamwork, professional correspondence, and gaining experience working with a wide array of practitioners in the fields of holistic health, yoga, and spirituality.

Interns are expected to make a three month summer commitment (approx. May 15 – Aug. 15; dates are flexible). Interns live in small, private accommodations and enjoy vegetarian meals as part of the work exchange program at Song of the Morning Yoga Retreat: a year-round, non-profit, mission-driven spiritual center. Our mission is to offer spiritual refreshment and relaxation for all truth thirsty souls, based on the ancient teachings of Yoga as taught by the spiritual master Paramahansa Yogananda. As such, we have nightly meditations (Tues-Sat.), a weekly devotional service (Sundays), hatha yoga opportunities at least once a week, and an atmosphere that is spiritually charged with intention, reflection, discussion, contemplation, and devotion. You will have two days off each week to enjoy your new home in the North Woods of lower peninsula Michigan.
