Summer Camp Counselors have the opportunity to be a superhero to the next generation of children. Our job isn’t to change or fix kids; our job is to meet kids exactly where they are and let them know that they’re accepted, wanted, and loved. Mo-Ranch is a serving organization that looks for people to be joyful, willing servant-leaders of young men and women. As a summer camp counselor, we teach children to disconnect from the digital world to make real connections in a Christian environment. While the facility is associated the the Presbyterian church, our summer camp programming is non-denominational, focusing on establishing the foundation of Christ in the lives of those we serve.
Mo-Ranch Summer Camp counselors live in a dorm setting with other campers and ensure the overall safety and well-being of each camper. Summer Camp Counselors take the role of parent/teacher/coach/mentor/cheerleader and must be willing to switch those hats every few seconds! Responsibilities include supervision of campers at all times and focusing on the physical, mental, and spiritual growth of our campers through intentional activities and programming.
Mo-Ranch offers different certifications at no cost to you. Every person will be Red Cross certified in First Aid/CPR/AED and all staff have the option to choose a certification track to use with their campers, whether it’s a Level 1 Ropes Course Training or as a Waterfront Lifeguard. Staff members are trained not to be at those specific areas all day, but to use with their respective campers to allow freedom of choice for group programming.
