General Summary
The Instructional Designer is responsible for developing, maintaining, delivering, and supporting the evaluation of managerial and technical training courses and learning modules for inclusion in BioBridge Global’s learning management system.
The position incorporates skills needed to cultivate a learning environment by developing course content and design ideas while collaborating with teams across the organization.
Collaborators include subject matter experts and content specialists working with internal clients and Human Resources in determining the needs of the course and the appropriate method of delivery.
Offers guidance to business units with respect to learning and development matters and provides recommendations for continuous improvement of training processes and assists in establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

It is essential that the incumbent have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Tasks
Assess the learning needs of internal clients and recommend appropriate training solutions by creating Training Needs Assessments in collaboration with clients.
Develops, designs, and delivers training objectives, curriculum, instructional strategies, and courses.
Edits and develops online learning materials. Creates learning experiences and environments.
Designs learning activities, assignments, and assessments.
Quickly synthesize and write course content based on input from subject matter experts, written materials, previous training courses, interviews, etc.
Developing course content and designing training courses by utilizing e‐learning tools to create screen layouts,
animations, record voice-over, and interactions appropriate to the content.
Develops instructor’s manuals, rubrics, and other teaching tools.
Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop course content.
Manages online learning communities
Analyzes, updates, and refines existing online content.
Trains instructors, students, and employees on how to use learning technologies.
Keeps current on best practices in instructional design. Writes scripts for video and audio content.
Works with technical staff to troubleshoot problems reported by users.
Define project schedules and manage multiple projects simultaneously with the Learning and Development Director. Keep track of project’s tasks and status using online project management software.
Participate in team brainstorming and strategy meetings to help define goals and ensure alignment.
Act as co‐administrator of the SuccessFactors Learning Management System.
Maintain adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory requirements, and all company policies. Write SOPs and training guidelines/work instructions.
Operate audio‐visual equipment and organize meeting setup.
Assist with maintaining the Learning & Development intranet page and calendar of events.
Maintain a close working relationship with Human Resources management and other departmental staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework relative to the field of assignment.
The preferred major is Training and Development Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related discipline.

Requires two or more years of work experience in training, curriculum development, and/or instructional design experience.
Preferred experience delivering classroom training and virtual instructor-led training.
Knowledge
Prefer knowledge and experience in Articulate content development software. Knowledge of instructional theory and design including assessments
Prefer knowledge and experience in VYOND software.
Must maintain knowledge of and perform according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.
Must become familiar with and maintain knowledge of regulatory/quality compliance, including FDA, EU, ISO, GHM, cGMP, OSHA, etc.
Prefer knowledge and experience in VYOND software.
Must have knowledge of adult learning principles, theories, and techniques.
Skills
Must have excellent written and oral communication, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients.
Must be capable of developing adult learning curriculums.
Must be fully capable of operating audio/visual equipment.
Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions.
Must have experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel. Must have strong computer skills.
Must possess strong organizational, customer service, and troubleshooting skills. Must have excellent project management skills.
Must have excellent analytical/critical thinking skills.
Must have skills in technical writing, teaching/training, performance measuring, multimedia, curriculum, and course development.
