David Reast

David Reast is the Coordinator of Meaningful Work at Schreiner University. He launched the initiative in the summer of 2014, after a career as a Texas high school teacher and coach. The goal of the Meaningful Work Initiative is to enhance experiential leaning opportunities for students at Schreiner University. David is responsible for administering student employment on campus, facilitating internships, developing career readiness programming and conducting employer outreach. David received his BA in Economics and Teaching Certificate from the University of Texas at Austin (1985). He has been a presenter at the NACENCDA and SoACE annual conferences, is a member of the STACC and CTLACC career services consortiums, and serves as the university’s liaison for The Washington Center. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Kerrville and serves on the board of the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce.
